I am pleased to note that the recent debut of the Electro House radio channel on Digitally Imported (DI.fm) has been quite a success.
Apparently there’s a very healthy appetite and demand for this kind of music, and the numbers have been climbing very fast. The other day we’ve seen the concurrent number at over 600 listeners. That is quite an amazing figure in Internet radio space for just a few weeks of launching the channel.
Why such a success so fast? It’s a combination of reasons…
Great content and arrangement, great demand for such content, solid streaming resources and organization, and finally being exposed to the existing DI.fm radio listener base. All of those components are required really, take one out and it’s a major drawback. Most people who start from nothing on their own in this space are lucky to get 50 concurrent maximum listeners after a year or two of streaming.
Big thanks to The Digitalist for doing his best to make the channel so great, and for his awesome live sets he’s throwing on there. I was further delighted to read the following post on his site:
Since the electro channel started on DI.FM, the feedback I’ve got about my show has simply blown me away….
…
It really means a lot, and the support and comments from the listeners has encouraged me to keep at it, and even to start producing again! Everyone’s enthusiasum has totally fired me up, so watch this space for some hard hitting electro filth from me coming soon!
Way to go man!

Thanks Ari!
As you’ve said, without the DI platform and listener base none of this would have happened!
I wonder how long before we hit four figures listeners!?
Here’s to 2008!!
