This is an ad starring Hillary’s mom and is approved by the campaign. Doesn’t she deserve to be voted in because she knows how to feel bad for people? That was sarcasm, in case you didn’t get it. I am not bashing Hillary here (though I am in plenty of other places), it’s just that I’d bash anyone with this type of an ad.

Feeling bad for people doesn’t actually help anyone. It’s just a way for people to feel less guilty about something they shouldn’t feel guilty for in the first place. Or it’s a way for people to get more votes from the type of people who think we should feel guilty. Hunger in Africa, the homeless, the lazy, the oppressed, you can insert many causes here.

A lot of people in the Western world are so fat and comfortable on their behinds that they feel they have to spread this sentiment that we should all feel guilty for people’s misfortunes or shortcomings.  Personally I don’t buy into this. Instead of feeling, do something. If you are upset over hunger in Africa, don’t tell me about it – go and donate money to the cause and leave me to donate my money to my own charities. By the way you should probably know that your money will be mostly siphoned off and otherwise stolen before it reaches anyone who is hungry in Africa.

You know, children with diseases or making life easier for productive people who get disabled, now there are problems to care about in my opinion. But again, don’t “feel bad”, that’s just talk. Either do something, or give money to people who do something. Just never give money to those who just keep on talking or stealing.

Back to Hillary: let me vote for someone who will help people to help themselves. I won’t vote for anyone who is going to feel bad for people.
