When all you feel like doing is this…

The holiday season is always extremely slow and quiet for me. Nothing seems to be happening - either everyone is out enjoying Christmas, or those who aren’t out pretend they are out as an excuse to take it slow and hibernate. And of course now that I got your attention, my best holiday and Christmas wishes go out to all you readers and supporters here.

The streets in New York City are emptier, so are the buses, and certainly the buildings. Before you know it your whole team is either out for the holiday or is just working from home. Actually I’ve been trying to work here. I don’t celebrate Christmas (I am Jewish) so it’s business as usual to me. It’s a bit like trying to do a tango dance without a partner though. Makes for many lonely office hours for me (or peaceful, depending on my mood). All in all this certainly hurts productivity overall for the team, but hey everyone needs a well deserved break.

My blog has suffered a similar hibernation fate, but it wasn’t because I didn’t feel like writing.   Between the usual daily duties with Digitally Imported Radio, I’ve been spending some extra time with family, my new startup, and some more domain shopping.

Family is family, it’s extremely important to me but I don’t like to discuss it privately. Suffice to say I am blessed to have an awesome wife and two great boys, Eli 2.5 and the other is named Jonathan who is not even 2 months old yet as I write this. There’s not much else I need in life, I can happily live with just this. But this blog isn’t for my family rambles, I try to keep them out of the spotlite.

As for my new startup and domain shopping, I’ll leave that for upcoming posts really soon!

Happy new year to you and your family mon ami ! may all your success continue in 2008 and projects realised!

that’s the “sad stuff” about Internet, you hardly meet people, but the “good stuff” is you can work with them anywhere in the world. I am your first fan from Paris ;)

best wishes to your team that I hopefully will meet with you soon,
    Thierry
